Where do they fish around here?

Have your own gear? Just cross the road and you can throw a line in.  Alternatively you can fish from the Pier at George Town or from the breakwater at the Pilot Station. And there a number of great beaches just a few minutes away by car.

Yes! Free Internet access is available at the park using your own computer via our WiFi network
Some restriction do apply - each session is currently timed at 30 minutes but you can immediately log back on. A password is available from reception and remains valid for the duration of your stay.

Where is the best place to eat?
 
Our guests two most popular choices are The RSL, Main Road, George Town and The Pier Hotel, 5 Elizabeth Street, George Town. There are a number of Take Way shops in George Town, a Bakery and a well stocked Woolworths Supermarket and an IGA Supermarket

Is there a shop close by?
 
The nearest store is the IGA Supermarket open 7 days, its less than 2km and a short walk or drive will get you into main street George Town

Can we get the paper here?
 
The News Agents in George Town can help you. We also have a Book Swap at our reception.

Is there a walking track close by?
 
Just cross the road.  If you turn right it’s a lovely 4 km walk to the Lighthouse.  This walk is well worth doing.  If you turn left it’s a 2 km stroll into George Town. In addition you could stroll along East Beach.  Just ask us at Reception for directions.

How much does it cost to use the Washing Machines & Dryers in the Amenities Block?

Washing machines take 3  x  $1 coins and the dryers take a $1 coin for 20 minutes.
Laundry Powder Sachets are available at Reception for $1.

Reception – How can we help?

Electric Fry-pan, Hair Dryers, Portable Cot, Extra Blankets are available at Reception for guest’s use free of charge. DVD players are available. We do NOT have DVDs for hire.
Fax facilities are available.
Fresh towels are also available on return of damp towels to reception.
Booking for Local Tours can be made.
We have a small book exchange at reception.
Maps and tour brochures are available.

LPG "Swap and Go" or Refills are available at the park
